This SUV had a clean title, and since we were in that area visiting family we ended up going to look at the car and even tho it looked horrible it was doable. Being clean title it was worth getting it for the price that we got it for.

After finding the door jamb area from another donor vehicle and finding the doors I was able to find a shop to do the work. Once the frame machine work was done I was able to do the rest at home, this vehicle had really low 4,700 miles, so this is something that we would keep for a long while.

I really loved the look of the Explorer Sport model, So I ended up finding sport headlights, sport taillights, getting new 20” black wheels and new set of tires. We ended up keeping the explorer for a few years and we put around 65,000 miles, it had a good sporty feel to it and handled good, felt like a sedan more than an SUV. We had kids now, so we started looking for a mini van, so started looking for a new project later on.
