2012 DODGE RAM 2500
My favorite truck is a Ram with a Cummins 6.7 engine. We needed a truck for our house projects and this seemed like a pretty good project to buy. It was an out of state buy, but it was too good of a price to pass up.
This truck had frame damage, I didn’t know this during purchase, but that’s not the end of the world. I was able to find a guy who worked on Rams here in my area said he had a full frame and he would be able to do a full frame swap for me. I agreed and I dropped off the truck at his shop to get that work done.
Once the truck was completed I went to pick it up, and sadly the shop guy did shady work on it, he didn’t swap the frame as agreed, but instead he cut out the damaged section and replaced it with another section, but the rest of the frame was still not straight, he claimed that he replaced the whole frame, but I know better, so I had to contact a few places and get police involved etc etc, turned into a huge mess for no reason.
Once I was able to get the truck back, I still had to finalize a few things, once things were taken care of, the frame was still not as good as I wanted, I still decided to do a few mods, wheels, tires, exhaust, tuner etc … it was a super fun truck and a good daily driver and tow rig. At the end of the day I still decided to sell it because I was not happy with the frame results and I was not looking at doing a frame swap myself, so I ended up selling the truck to a ranger in NV for their horses and I told them about the frame situation, they didn’t mind it so much, so everyone was happy at the end.
