2001 FORD F350 7.3
work in progress

This 2001 F350 7.3 was one of those spur of the moment buys that we didn’t need, but it was low miles, 4x4, manual 6 speed, 7.3, 4 doors and I decided to bid on it to see if I can get it for a good deal and so now we are here.

First I had to find new leaf springs, then I had to find a new rear axle, the damage wasn’t horrible, but I did end up doing a ton of upgrades on it from RiffRaff Diesel, and doing a full straight 5” pile with no cats and no mufflers. Here in CA this vehicle is still legal and can pass smog with a straight pipe.

Now that I did all of the little things I wanted to it and it’s now as reliable as possible, I can see this 7.3 lasting a million miles without any problems, especially with a 6 speed manual transmission. This truck I can call it done and forget about it, but I decided it to build it into something special and unique. Perhaps an overland vehicle, this will be an interesting build that’s for sure. Will be updating this build on Instagram and YouTube once I get more parts for it and finally the details of the build so know the direction I’m heading.
